From 17 to 22 July, Synergy City brings large scale installations, living sculptures, performances, workshops, and participatory artworks to three locations across the city: Museumplein, Park Frankendael, and Erasmuspark. Woven into the rhythm of the city, the programme creates new ways to experience culture through curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

Last Survivors

Last Survivors explores the fate of humanity in a world shaped by extreme environmental conditions and rapid technological change. With a playful and humorous approach, Stine Deja creates monumental figures in which the human body merges with the resilience of tardigrades, microscopic animals capable of surviving both extreme cold and extreme heat.

Scaled up to an imposing size, these hybrid creatures imagine new possibilities for adaptation, survival, and life in challenging environments.

Pyramid Curbs

Step into Pyramid Curbs, an engulfing inflatable installation by artist Cyril Lancelin. Blurring the boundaries between sculpture and architecture, the work transforms public space into a playful, otherworldly environment.

Rising from the ground like colourful roots or looping forms, Pyramid Curbs invites visitors to walk beneath and inside the installation, experiencing its shifting shapes, scale, and colours from within.

Known for creating immersive environments that encourage interaction and exploration, Lancelin reimagines public space as a place for curiosity, play, and shared experience.

Source Spirits

Source Spirits is a monumental installation by Rey Jaffet and Sean Behm that serves as a celebration of gratitude for all in our divine connection to source.

At its core, the work displays a portal to the infinite, a space where surrendered spirits in physical form meet in a gathering of energy. Drawing on sacred symbols and kinetic elements, it creates an immersive environment that inspires presence and unity, encouraging all to feel the power of our shared collective consciousness.

Museo Aero Solar

in collaboration with Aerocene Foundation

Created in collaboration with Aerocene Foundation, Museo Aero Solar is a collective artwork that transforms discarded plastic bags into a growing inflatable sculpture. Throughout the summer, people across Amsterdam are invited to collect bags, contribute materials, and take part in public workshops.

Rooted in collective responsibility and ecological imagination, the project explores how simple acts of making can bring people together. The process itself becomes the artwork, as participants reuse, assemble, and transform everyday waste into something shared.

As Museo Aero Solar moves through the city, it grows through each contribution, workshop, and encounter.

Steel Grass

Like dancing with air, Steel Grass by Aérosculpture transforms its surroundings into a dreamlike environment. Shining like polished steel, the installation moves with the wind, revealing the invisible currents that surround us.

In motion, Steel Grass mirrors the constant, shifting dance of molecules. In stillness, it becomes a silver blade reaching toward the sky, capturing both movement and calm in a single gesture.

Poetic and ever-changing, the work invites visitors to experience the atmosphere around them in a new way.
